About
RESEARCH
My principal research interests lie in the field of new media and technology, especially the media convergence (technological, economical, social and cultural aspects). I am currently investigating specific aspects of this process in Polish media environment for my dissertation. I use several methods: case studies and discursive content analysis and in the next stage: in-depth interviews and an observation. My research plans are: comprehensive analysis of Polish media corporation called ITI Group S. A. and the characteristic of converging media users. Dissertation is interdisciplinary and derives from media studies, sociology and management science. Media ecology and network theories are the most important theories and conceptions underling my thesis.
